Can you tell me how you took an Infopass appointment since your PD is not current right now (will be current in Sept)? I was told that I can take infopass appointment only after my PD is current.

Hello,
I have been approved for a new H1 visa for 2 years - Consulate Case. My previous visa extension was denied & so applied for a new one with a different company in a different state. I m trying to book an appointment online for the interview in which I have to fill up DS 156 form. There is one question # 24, where it is asking me write the address where I will stay. At present, I have not decided on address as I don't know stamping would be approved or not. So what do I need to write there. I presently stay in a different stay where I own a house.
Lawyers & experienced people pls. help out as soon as possible... I am running out of time...

The address should be the one which you are currently staying (on file with USCIS when you filed for GC or notified using AR-11).

Here is something we really should watch closely. US senate race in Massachusetts between Democrat Coakley and Republican Brown. They are fighting for the vacant seat of Hon. Late Senator Ted Kennedy. Now, people would think, why a race in mass. matter? It's a completely blue state, and had no republican senator in last 40 yrs, obviously a democrat would win. The election is on tuesday and the ground reality seems to suggest something else.
This seat is crucial for President and Democrats as it is the much coveted 60th seat in the senate to get a filabuster-proof majority which democrats have enjoyed so far. It is critical for healthcare reform as well as for immigration reform (if at all it comes).
The gap between both the candidates was narrow with democrat leading but today, for the first time, polls indicate that Brown has taken lead over Coakley. People in this blue state seem to increasingly support Brown, mainly frustrated because of healthcare policies. Mass residents already have a healthcare related tax to help run state's universal health care. On top of that, federal health overall would be adding more taxes on people and people fear that they will end paying both. Already, mass is a very high tax state. So, there is an increasing popularity to tax-related fiscal conservative campaign run by Brown.
This is surely gonna be a nail-biter; so let's wait and watch this one. Election is coming tuesday.

Hi Folks
My Labor was approved under EB2 as the job required a Master's Degree but the Lawyer by mistake filed my I140 under EB3 and was approved Oct 2006. The mistake was noticed in May 2007 when we were planning to file for I485. The lawyer refiled my I140 under premium processing on may 23 2007. I checked the status on line and the LUD is May 27 saying application was received. The lawyer told me that CIS is waiting for 'original labor notice' from the labor dept.
Its been 2 months now and I am getting worried.
Anyone who has been in similar circumstances or familiar with this situation pl help. :(

A friend of mine is a citizen from a non Visa-waiver country, married to an American. They've been married for two years and she is expected to receive her green card in a few months at the embassy of her country of origin where she still lives. Because of abuse issues, she wants to separate asap but is afraid he might retaliate by trying to prevent her from receiving her green card. Is that possible, or should she wait until she has the Green Card in her hands? Thanks!

Hello,
My labor got approved couple days ago and my employer would like to file I-140 without using an attorney. I have few questions, it might seem simple to you but I am confused:
I am a software engineer and labor approved for SOC 15-1032, what should be filled in the nontechnical description of job field? For H1B, my company listed duties of the position on the cover letter for this question, should it be the same way for I-140?
Anyone has sample template of the cover letter?
My company has not filed tax returns for the last quarter, will the returns of second last quarter do? I have W-2 which is substantially higher than the proffered wage.
Since I am earning more than the proffered wage should that be filled under "wages" on I-140 or the offered wage mentioned on perm?

Hi,
I applied for my first EAD in May 2007 and had FP done in June 2007. I am now applying for my EAD renewal. Will there be another FP for the renewal?
This is really urgent as I am traveling to India in April for a month and I don't want to miss the FP appointment. Please let me know if you have info on this?
